Just one of those days when you want to disappear in the fictional world.

Recently finished reading Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata which reminded me a little of Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine. Although on the similar lines, Convenience Store Woman is a tad bit disoriented at times and a little repetitive. I loved how Murata captures the quirkiness and the mental health issues of Furukura but I wish I could feel a little more connected to the character. Overall, it was a good read and kind of fast paced so it helped me get back to reading again after a long break. In other news, I missed reading and talking about books a lot so here I am back on one of my favourite platforms to gear up and fall in love with books again. Qotd: What are you reading these days?

When you go to a new place, you wonder how it compares with the place you are from. Your first instinct is to either criticise or compliment. You look for the things you love about the place or not so much. Moving to Ghaziabad has been a revelation for me and I have made my fair share of judgements about it. But amongst it all, the library happens to be my favourite place in my college. A library is judged either by its vast collection of books catering to every member, or by the rare beauties it holds or by the ease of issuing books. I love libraries because of their ambience. If they make me feel comfortable and relaxed enough to finish books, then it becomes one of my favourites. Do you visit libraries near you? What is the primary reason you go to a library for?

As predicted, this book was nothing short of extraordinary. A book that talks of a surrogacy farm, wherein women can act as hosts and their wombs are for sale is bound to be ground breaking. The book delivers as promised and I was so engrossed in it, that it hardly took me four hours to finish reading it. So what makes this book one of the best reads of the year? - The striking resemblance to the real world where women's bodies are either for sale or for policing. - The well thought characterisation which will make you feel invested in their lives. - The writing style is so so good. I have become a huge fan of Ramos thanks to her beautiful composition. Although this book has been compared with The Handmaid's Tale but I think that would be a little unfair. However if you are a fan of The Handmaid's Tale then I am confident you will fall in love with The Farm too. Do you like dystopian novels? Which are your favourites? #unitedbookstagram

When you get to spend your Sunday afternoons bookstore hopping. The happy happy sight of books makes me feel like a little kid again, with that twinkle in my eye. Question : Now that I am moving to another city, I would love to know some of your suggestions regarding bookstores I can visit in Delhi.
